- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon salt

- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish. Arrange half of the potato slices in an even layer at the bottom of the dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Pour half of the cream mixture evenly over the potatoes in the dish.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the cream-covered potatoes. Arrange the remaining potato slices in an even layer on top of the cheese. Pour the remaining cream mixture over the potatoes and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
- Dot the top with small pieces of butter. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
