Description

This Easy Glazed Ham recipe delivers a moist, flavorful centerpiece with a beautiful, glossy glaze. Perfect for holidays, it’s a simple yet impressive dish that will delight your guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 fully cooked ham (bone-in or boneless, about 810 pounds)
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325Β°F (160Β°C).
  2. Remove the ham from its packaging and place it in a large roasting pan. If your ham has a skin, score it in a diamond pattern, being careful not to cut too deep into the meat.
  3. In a medium saucepan, combine the brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cloves, and ground cinnamon.
  4. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the brown sugar is dissolved and the glaze is smooth.
  5. Simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  6. Brush about half of the glaze evenly over the ham, making sure to get into the scored areas.
  7. Cover the ham with foil and bake for about 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the size of your ham.
  8. Remove the foil and brush the remaining glaze over the ham.
  9. Increase the oven temperature to 400Β°F (200Β°C) and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the glaze is bubbly and caramelized.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the ham. It should reach 140Β°F (60Β°C).
  • If the glaze starts to darken too quickly, reduce the oven temperature or loosely cover the ham with foil.
  • Let the ham rest for at least 10-15 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute.
