Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water (110°F to 115°F)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water and sugar, then sprinkle the active dry yeast over the top. Allow it to sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, salt, and Italian seasoning. Make a well and add the frothy yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until a moist dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Adjust with flour if needed.
  4. Place the kneaded dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. After rising, punch down the dough and shape it into loaves. Place on a lined baking tray, sprinkle with mozzarella, and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
